I'd just like to look quickly at why Mamma Mia was such a success, it is no flashy film like Dark Knight or Hellboy 2... so what is special with it?
I reviewed it back in July, and it's still going well in my local cinema, so that gives you a little Idea of it's success.
I noticed that it is a very popular movie amongst pensioners, but not exclusive.
But what I figure is that it builds on the shoulders of giants, because it is based on a very successful Broadway musical.
What brought me to watch it for the first time was it's excellent trailer, giving us a very catchy tune, so I'm sure that aided the movie's success.
Also with a wonderful cast, it is bringing in fans of the cast.
And in reality I think it is wonderful as a feel-good movie, quite tear jerking at times. And with the music from Abba you just can't go wrong!
Mamma Mia is the greatest success story of the year!
