Review: 2008

As is customary of most bliogs around the web, I will be reviewing 2008 from a particulaly Shaka Movies point of view.

Well to start with this movie blog started up in July 2008, so still relativey new... so much thanks to my regular readers for making this blog a reality!

The Year started off wonderflly in my view... I started a yearly subscription to Cineworld cinemas, which I have never regretted.

The first huge movie of the year was Tim Burton's Musical epic: Sweeney Todd, starring the never-fading star: Johnny Depp.

The next lot of Excitement came when the Guillermo Del Toro produced horror masterpiece: The Orphanage was released to scare the whole world... recieving much critical acclaim!

In the spring Indianna Jones returned in a visually stunning epic, along with the adreneline-packed Iron Man, and sister movie to The Lord of The Rings: Prince Caspian with a huge UK premiere!

After an eventful Spring, Shaka Movies was born to the blogsphere.

Summer was EXCELLENT, packed with 3 huge blockbusters: The Dark Knight, Hellboy 2, and Mamma Mia.

2008 can also be held as a great year for rising director: Guillermo Del Toro with his early announcement as directer of Hollywoods mst coveted helms: The Hobbit... along with two great movies this year: The Orphanage and Hellboy 2... not to mention all the other announcements which I have tryed to keep you up to date with on this blog.

The Fall/Autumn was quite exciting too with Quantum of Solace and the recent Twilight.

All in all a great year promising great things to come in the future!
