Quantum of Solace: An Interview With The Director

This interview did not take place, it is merely a fictional piece written solely for the lolz!

After watching Quantum of Solace, I figured it would be cool to talk with the director, as that's what all journalists do anyway...

Because of memory problems, I wasn't able to remember the name of the director, but I guess it doesn't really matter because no-one would recognise the name anyway... But one thing I did find out about him is that he was the director of Finding Neverland...

Anyway, let's get to this interview!

ME: "Hello Director how are you?"

Dirctor: "I'm great! So glad that everyone actually watched my movie!"

ME: "Well that's great!"

ME: "So how did it feel making one of the biggest movies of the year, I mean you had like 200 million dollars to make it with. That's quite a responsibility, eh?"

Director: "No quite to the contrary, when you've got a lot of money you can do almost anything you want! And," he added hastily, "You can get a lot of money yourself."

From this I gathered that the 200 million was mostly used to fund the director's retirment years, but this I didn't voice out loud!

ME: "Umm it was a great movie, but not to sound rude, but why do you think it was popular? Why did so many people go to see it?"

Director: "It's Bond!"

That's when I realised that there was something "director" was hiding from me... I gave him a long hard stare, and that's where he started to get all nervous, and started to sweat, then he broke down and confessed:

Director: "OK OK, I confess the movie is completely pointless, the only reason I became a popular director was because of Finding Neverland, and anyone would buy a movie with Johnny Depp in. But now that I have to direct without Johnny Depp, I feel kind of lost. But at last I found something else to direct that everyone will watch: anyone will watch a Bond movie! So I admit I was a cheat all through my career!"

I just smiled and nodded, we had found something to agree with after all!

OK fair enough, the movie wasn't the worst in the world, but where did all the money go? surely Daniel Craig didn't cost 100 million...?

The only graphics used in the movie was the big explosion at the end... The movie could have been made with 50 million dollars easily. You couldn't compare this to Prince Caspian which had the same budget could you? Prince Caspian has wonderful graphics and everything, this has.. Nothing.
