Review: The Soloist

Movie Rating: 4 Stars

I purposefully avoided this movie over the weekend as it looked excessively boring... But I was quite pleasantly suprised!

SYNOPSIS

The story focuses on Nathaniel Ayers, once a promising cello student at Julliard, but times were hard on him and he was kicked out by society and now lives on the street.

Nathaniel has a very interested story, full of dark secrets, a compplicated mind, and no-one to care for him... To hear more about Nathaniel, I recommend you to watch the movie!

MUSIC

I was slightly dissapointed with this aspect of the movie, as a biopic of a musician I would have expected a good musical score to accompany it, but this didn't really comw up with the goods...

I will say, however, there was a nice compilation of classical pieces that Nathaniel played on his cello, and will keep fan's of classical music happy.

EMOTIONS

This was one of the movie's strong points, and dwelt upon humanity and inter-human relationships.

There is a beautiful ending too, which I will not divulge to you at this present time.

STORYLINE

It's a true story and I'm sure that will be quite sufficient evidence that it must be at least interesting... Well itt kept my attention throughout the movie!

CONCLUSION

don't go by the boring outlook of this movie, once you get in the screen you will be captivated.

Thanks for reading,

Mike Buckingham

News: The Lost Boys are Thirsty for More | Latino Review

http://www.latinoreview.com/news/the-lost-boys-are-thirsty-for-more-8094: "Just a year after Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, the sequel to 80s cult hit The Lost Boys, was released straight to DVD, Bloody Disgusting has learned that Warner Premiere has signed on Dario Piana (The Deaths of Ian Stone) to direct Lost Boys 3: The Thirst. Evan Charnov, whose only writing credit is the made-for-TV Fearless, wrote the screenplay and Corey Feldmen, who starred as Edgar Frog in the previous two films, has confirmed that he will be returning to the role."

Loved the Lost Boys, love vampires as a whole lol :)

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs

Movie Rating: 3 Stars

everyone knows that the reason Cloudy got to it's possition at number one at the box office was because it was filmed in 3D... But I still love 3D... So I quite enjoyed this movie.

The movie in itself holds no real artistic merit, but is just perfect on the graphics!

SYNOPSIS

A failed scientist fins fame in creating a machine that turns water into food... And the comedy builds on errors that may arise from using such a machine.

STORYLINE

Hey it's a kids movie... Doesn't need a particularly strong plot-line.

GRAPHICS

What would you expect from a 3D movie? It's got excellent graphics!

CONCLUSION

Enjoy the movie but don't expect anything of too much artistic merit.

The Hobbit Series: The Top 10 Bilbo Candidates | FanSided

The Hobbit Series: The Top 10 Bilbo Candidates FanSided

Adam Best has some interesting coices here.

this is his top choice:

1. Jim Sturgess – His star somewhat came into focus during 2007’s Across the Universe, yet he’s not nearly as famous as McAvoy, which is something the filmmakers will likely see as ideal. Much how Elijah Wood became Frodo before our eyes, they’ll want whomever to become Bilbo forever. They won’t want us seeing Mr. Tumnus or Wesley Gibson. I’m also guesstimating that like with The Lord of the Rings series, they might cast Bilbo a little younger than expected. Call it a hunch, but I think after the way Frodo turned out that Del Toro will say the same thing he said about keeping Serkis as Gollum — “if it ain’t broke.” Sturgess has the charisma and vulnerability to pull off a young Bilbo. Don’t be shocked if he nabs the role. He’s gotta be on the shortlist.

unless you missed it, Rob Pattinson made his first ever tweet on twitter:

"Okay so he doesn’t actually have a Twitter account, and from the looks of it, he doesn’t intend to tweet again..but, Robert Pattinson has taken to the Twitter airwaves via his on-screen dad Peter Facinelli to give a little shout out to fans. For those not keeping up with Twitter, Peter promised a “guest tweet” if he hit a million followers. Well, he’s about 7k followers shy of a million, but he gave us a guest tweet anyway."

Dorian Gray

MOVIE RATING **** (4 Stars)

I was very keen on Ben Barnes in his role as Prince Caspian, and was more than a little excited to see him in his third movie.

Based on the famous book baring the same title.

SYNOPSIS

Dorian Gray is a good-looking young man who sells his soul for eternal beauty.

It is a brilliant illustration of what sinful pleasures bring upon a human.

WARNING

This movie contains some disturbing sex scenes, which can easily offend certain people!

MUSIC **** (4 stars)

A beutiful score and I don't have a clue who wrote it :)

Storyline ***** (5 Stars)

brilliant storyline! Really interesting.

CONCLUSION

If you are a fan of movies with great storylines this is certainly for you!
